As always you can email any questions to techelp@strucalc.com and receive free answers to your questions from a licensed professional engineer. Please include “StruCalc Technical Support”in the Subject line. We will attempt to reply within two to three business days if possible.
Basic Support
All purchasers of our software receive immediate access to our basic tech support email line techelp@strucalc.com, online tutorials, in-program help features, free manual downloads, and computer/installation support. Basic support is valid for as long as you use our program.
Priority Tech Support
We also offer priority technical support for $100.00 plus $40.00 for each additional site license. If you order this with a program purchase or within 45 days of a program purchase there will be a 50% discount. Priority technical support covers any version of StruCalc that you own and lasts for 1-year from the date of purchase. Renewals processed before your support expires qualify for the 50% discount again. If you purchase technical support you will have access to one of our professional engineers and programmers on our technical support hotline who will strive to assist you in using StruCalc, project design questions, Windows support, and optimizing deisgn time with professional engineering hints and tricks as well as access to any free downloads we release during your 12-month subscription.

My customers using Lamco engineered wood want to use strucalc but the values are not in the software.
Can you call me to let me know how to add the LAMCO Forest Products new engineering values into a design and could they be permanently in the software?

Can I used your program for lateral load (wind and earth quake).
My ‘notes’ key doesn’t seem to work properle. I can’t transfer copied notes from the autosize screen to my printout…please help

Our program does not support lateral loading at this time.
This is easily done with the custom add materials wizard. We will have someone contact you directly and thank you for your interest.

Is version 7.0 compatible with Windows 7?
We are currently testing StruCalc versions 7 and 8 with Windows 7 and have had no issues as of yet. We will make a formal announcement soon.
The link, How to Remotely Manage Licenses” doesn’t work. How can I unlock my home computer installation while already having it installed at my office?
We are sorry that the link is not working at the moment, it should be fixed shortly. It should be directing you to our VIdeos and Training page where you will find one called “Unlocking and License Management”. It will provide you with the steps you need to remotely manage your license/s. Please call 800-279-1353 if you have any further qustions.
Just downloaded the verions 8 demo and a few critical question:
1. Upon installation I get an error message stating I must log out and log in with as “administrator”. Runiing Vista and I’m a sole user and the administrator and I did double check…I am logged in as Administrator. Tried a reboot…no luck.
2. I currently have V6 on my laptop. Can’t find the serial number and I’m sure my original purhcase information is on a archive disk. Would like to upgrade to V8.
3. What is the purchase price for an upgrade from V6 full verions to V8 full version?

I purchased Version 8 upgrade last week. I could not unlock it. I called the number on my confirmation and she indicated that I need to talk to thechnical people without any idea that how to get in touch with them. I sent an email and still waiting for answer. I have been using your software since version 6 came out, and I am begining to rethink that. Your customer service need some updating. Since I cannot unlock it, what is the return policy.
I am noticing on StrucCalc 8.0.101 that the company logo, user name, company name, address, city/state/zip does not fit in the provided space on the printout. I know I can adust the font size and type and could remove some of the provided information to fit but is there a way or a fix coming up that will correct the border for this information.

Can you email me the info you are trying to put into these fields at adam@strucalc.com. I will look into it and see if I can explain how to adjust these borders on the printouts, some of them have a maximum size to account for ensuring there is enough room for the strucalc member required information that goes at the top of each printout

I have V7 installed and a trial of V8. I need to upgrade but did not see an upgrade option on the site. How much is the upgrade and how do I pay?
