Print Preview Overview
Selecting a member on the left hand side and then the Print Preview tab on the right hand side will load a print preview of the member. This is an exact replica of the much more powerful print preview available within StruCalc itself. The main purpose here is to show you what the member is doing in terms of adequacy and design to determine if you would like to make any changes before importing to StruCalc where you can make more detailed adjustments to your design.
The print preview is one page for any member you import. This is part of the simplicity of StruCalc. All the information needed for an engineered member is on this one page printout.
First at the top you have the Header or Project Summary. This includes project information, building codes, member type, material type, adequacy, and controlling factor. In the main StruCalc program this will also include a customizable header with icon and project owner information.
Next is the Deflections, Reactions, and Beam Data section
Followed by the Material Properties area. This area includes all of the engineered values.
On the left hand side is the Loading Diagram, a visual, scaled model, of your member.
Below the last section is all the loading that corresponds to the load diagram. These two sections combine two show you the entire beam loading that has been converted from the original MiTek Job design when it was imported.
After you are done reviewing all of the members in your job it is time to review the Exporting a Job to StruCalc Walkthrough
